Mr. David French is an attorney, journalist, author, and now senior editor at U.S. conservative political website The Dispatch. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Mr. French has served as senior counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice and the Alliance Defending Freedom, and has spent much of his career working on religious rights issues. Until 2005, he served as president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE). In 2007, he deployed to Iraq, serving in Diyala Province as Squadron Judge Advocate for the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Mr. French wrote for the National Review from 2015 to 2019 and was a senior fellow at the National Review Institute. He is the author of three books, most recently The Rise of ISIS: A Threat We Canβt Ignore.
