Mr. David A. Schlissel is the Director of Resource Planning Analysis at the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis, and the President of Schlissel Technical Consulting. Since 1973, he has served as a consultant, expert witness, and attorney on engineering and economic issues in the fields of energy and the environment. He has presented testimony in more than 100 cases before regulatory boards and commissions in 35 states, two federal regulatory agencies, and in state and federal court proceedings. He also has been the lead author for a number of reports including Donβt Get Burned: The Risks of Investing in New Coal-Fired Power Plants. Mr. Schlissel holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University. He received a J.D. degree from Stanford University School of Law, and studied Nuclear Engineering and Project Management at MIT.
