Dr. Randall L. Schweller is a professor of political science at The Ohio State University, where he has taught since 1994. He is also Director of the Program for the Study of Realist Foreign Policy, Social and Behavioral Sciences Joan N. Huber Faculty Fellow at Ohio State, and editor-in-chief of Security Studies. He is often noted for his work as a grand theorist of international relations, for his balance-of-interests theory, and as a founder of neoclassical realism. Dr. Schweller is the author of several books, including Maxwell’s Demon and the Golden Apple: Global Discord in the New Millennium (2014), Unanswered Threats: Political Constraints on the Balance of Power (2006), and Deadly Imbalances: Tripolarity and Hitler’s Strategy of World Conquest (1998).
