David Brooks

The New York Times

David Brooks is Op-Ed columnist for The New York Times, where his column appears every Tuesday and Friday. Mr. Brooks is the author of five books: Bobos in Paradise (2000), On Paradise Drive (2004), The Social Animal (2011), The Road to Character (2015), and The Second Mountain (2019). He is also a commentator on PBS NewsHour, NPR’s All Things Considered and NBC’s Meet the Press, teaches at Yale University, and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Mr. Brooks graduated with a bachelor of history from the University of Chicago in 1983.
