Nir Eyal is an author, lecturer, and angel investor. He is well-known as the author of Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products (2013) and Indistractable: How to Control Your Attention and Choose Your Life (2019). Previously, he was a Lecturer in Marketing at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford. Some of Nir’s past investments include Eventbrite, Kahoot!, Anchor.fm (acquired by Spotify), Canva, Refresh.io (acquired by LinkedIn), Worklife (acquired by Cisco), Product Hunt (acquired by Angelist), Marco Polo, Presence Learning, 7 Cups, Pana, Byte Foods, Shadow, and FocusMate. His blog, NirAndFar.com, explores the intersection of psychology, technology, and business — an area he refers to as “behavioral design.” Nir received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2008.
