Mr. Erwin Chemerinsky is the current Dean of the UC Berkeley School of Law and the second most-frequently cited legal scholar in the United States. Prior to taking the helm at Berkeley, Mr. Chemerinsky served as Founding Dean at the UC Irvine School of Law. In 2017, Mr. Chemerinsky was named the most influential person in United States legal education by the National Jurist magazine, an honor he has received multiple times. Of his most recent book We The People (2018), Lawrence Lessig said, “it will become the defining text on progressive constitutionalism . . . a masterpiece.” Mr. Chemerinsky is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
