Mr. Osita Nwanevu is a staff writer at The New Republic, where he writes about politics and culture. Previously, he was a staff writer at The New Yorker and at Slate, and was editor-in-chief of the South Side Weekly, a Chicago alternative weekly. His writing has appeared in Harper’s, the Chicago Reader, and In These Times. Mr. Nwanevu holds a B.A. and an M.P.P., both in public policy, from the University of Chicago.
