J. Bradford DeLong

Dr. J. Bradford DeLong is an economics professor at The University of California, Berkeley. He graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University in 1982, then went on to earn his Ph.D. from Harvard, studying under Lawrence Summers. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. DeLong taught economics at various schools in the Boston area. He was Danziger Associate Professor of Economics at Harvard University, Assistant Professor of Economics at Boston University, and a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. For a time, he was also a John M. Olin Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Dr. DeLong has served in the United States government as well. He was Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy from 1993 to 1995, in the Clinton administration. He blogs regularly at “Grasping Reality with Both Invisible Hands.”
